When we study the Proverbs, we can very quickly see the importance of keeping silent. However, that is not all that is expected of godly men.

Be slow to speak

When we wait before we speak we give ourselves time to think, fully grasp the situation and give a wise answer.

How to be battle-ready & victorious

When we try to fight sin, serve God or lead in our own power, we will crash, burn, and fail.

Take note, give thanks

We can never give God the glory if we never slow down to notice what he has done.

Be trusted to lead, not ambitious to lead

As young men it is easy to desire a place of ‘great’ responsibility or public recognition.
